Had a talk few days back with a friend about the relevance of lyrics of 'Yellow Submarine'
Quickly googled to find out more.
Beatles always claimed that Yellow Submarine was a childrens song. However In a search for the 'deeper meaning' behind the song, fans and critics tried to derive all kinds of cultural and symbolic interpretations of the song. Many consider it having to do with drugs and war. Some environmentally minded groups and peace organizations, also used this 60's song as an anthem against the Vietnam War.
That is that. But here is what Paul Mccartney, the creator of the song had to say about the yellow submarine:
It's a happy place, that's all!
wow!Beatles were such a phenomenon, that at times people read a bit too much into their songs.
